I just got an email via the Maserati Club saying that Maserati announced, on 30 October, that there are special Quattroporte tours in Modena from 19 October to 17 November. The message seemed very late, windy and half-aŝsed.

The 30th of October the House of Trident celebrates the 60th Anniversary of Quattroporte, the luxury saloon born in 1963 and until today a classic example of true Italian style that combines elegance and sportiness.

A celebration that recalls some of major milestones of the Modena brand, as Quattroporte is one of the greatest expressions of the House of the Trident. From stylistic leaps to innovations and technical developments – all essential features of a car that has successfully straddled two centuries, Quattroporte encapsulates a journey into one of the most exclusive parts of motoring.

As with so many other iconic cars that have been a sign of their times, ever since its debut in the early 1960s the Quattroporte has garnered acclaim and has inspired successive generations. This is a product that has been able to reinvent itself with no fear of pushing the envelope, one faithful to the pursuit of excellence in design and performance. With over a century of history and more than 75,000 Quattroporte models produced, Maserati has created a car able to be constantly innovative whilst remaining unchanged over the years.

It is representative of the passion and talent of all those involved in the project over the years – Frua plotted the initial curvature, followed by other masters including Bertone, Giugiaro, Gandini, and Pininfarina, through to the Maserati Centro Stile, home to the latest and current generation of Quattroporte. An entire family of technicians, mechanics, test drivers, and designers took it from the blueprints to the road. Quattroporte has long been and still remains the jewel in the crown of the Modena company’s intense story and in the professional lives of so many people.

In the garages of the most discerning motorists, of kings and princes, in the background of memorable films (having been featured in more than 60 productions), photographed on red carpets or accompanying the highest-ranking officials at events, and beloved by the most significant VIPs in numerous industries, Quattroporte was a mainstay of the automotive landscape in the 20th century and remains so in the new millennium. Sixty years later and after travelling innumerable miles, it continues its journey as an undisputed star of its times.
To mark this special event, the following initiatives will be promoted by Maserati.

FACTORY TOUR

From the 19th of October to the 17th of November the historical plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena will host an exhibition dedicated to 60 years of Quattroporte. Several thematic areas and the presence of the most iconic Quattroporte produced in these 60 years will retrace the history of one of the most representative cars of the Italian Brand. Factory tours will be organized for customers, club members, prospects, tourists, Media and employees.

We seem to have missed the 60th. But this has been long overdue; @Ebenezer and @Italiano now have a deadline to work towards. The 65th anniversary (and 25th for QPVs) - so a massive gathering of QPs on, er, the weekend of 1-2 July 2028.

Maybe an account should be set up for members to 'save' for a forum celebration at that time.
£50pm should cover it and I am sure Matt and Zep would be ace at sorting an itinerary.

Hang on a minute, this is the 60th anniversary year of the Quattroporte. Meaning we have another 11 months to celebrate when the weather outside isn't trying marmelise my QP. If we wait until 2028, half of us may have been tempted to have cashed in our QP chips, while those of us left will be able to buy a KitKat with our £50 investments. Carpe Diem - let's organise something for summer 2024! Over to you @Ebenezer and @Italiano! :)

Would another brand have contacted all the owners for a big deal like 60th?
Was never expecting a letter from Maserati of course. Happy to join in some QP gathering, helpful if next year so I can sort a few issues.
