Quattroporte wanted reasonably priced

Hi,

I am looking for a reasonably priced (hopefully better than reasonably priced!) QP. I just missed out on one at auction, but that has galvanised me into action.

The car that I will end up getting is most likely to be a duoselect 2004-2006, ideally in a dark colour, or possibly a very early ZF auto. I am looking on PH,car and classic, Autotrader, and British Car Auctions.

I have read all the background info on running one, and will get any car inspected before purchase. I am certainly open to a private sale, indeed perhaps I have a preference for that. I don't need finance.
I suppose what I am ideally aiming for is someone about to trade one in, or a trader off-loading a trade in, or one coming up for auction other than BCA (which I am watching). I think you can see from where I am looking to source that I would prefer to avoid paying retail prices.

I live in Essex and work in Herts, but can travel for the right car.

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Thanks

Best of luck with you search.

I wouldnt say its impossible to bag a bargain, but I'd put price very low on the list of priorites when buying a QP. History, condition etc etc are far more important - a couple of £k saved on purchase could be the worst saving you ever make.

Not unusual I dont think. Maserati's are still a car people like to say "I've had one"....plus its 8 years old.
