Mcdonalds. Strangely they are giving away books at the moment from the diary of the Wimpy kid range. Thats like advertising the competition.

I think we have had that question before.

I wondered if we had. At least we have the correct answer :)

Homonyms share the same pronunciation which these don't

These are homographs share the same spelling but are pronounced differently as opposed to homophones which have the same pronunciation but are spelt differently

or so my 9 year old tells me as she is constantly looking for new ones she didn't know. School has taught her something.

An easy one that came up in a pub quiz earlier this week and caused a row (that's a homograph by the way)?

Who has had the most UK No 1 singles ?

This one is always controversial, they argue between Elvis and the Beatles depending on which chart you go by I think.

As you say artist rather than group it's probably someone like Paul McCartney what with Wings etc?

Correct, 17 with the Beatles, 1 with Wings, 3 on his own and then 4 charity singles live aid etc. total 25 - the pub was in uproar but as always QM is always right.

Your turn

Thats is one of the three with him credited by name, Ebony & Ivory with Stevie Wonder, Pipes Of Peace & Ferry Across The Mersey plus 4 other charity records Do they know its Christmas by Band Aid &Band Aid 20, Let It Be by Ferry Aid & He Ain't Heavy, He's my brother by Justive Collective

Also other useless fact from Wiki he appeared on the best selling single of each of the 60s, 70s & 80s with She Loves You, Mull of Kintyre & Do they know is Christmas not sure which is worse but Mull Of Kintyre is down there with the best bad songs of all time
