Isn't it one of the Scottish Islands where it consists of just one person.
Who is probably the doctor, the postman and a sheep farmer as well!

I'd go with the British Transport Police...I did think the City Of London, but obviously that's wrong.
850 2,800
Both good answers. But wrong. City of London is about 850 officers, British Transport Police a rather surprising 2,800. The smallest is under 500, however.

Legoland Model Village? The police there are only 3 inches tall...

Brilliant answer! But wrong on three counts. I meant human police, I meant the number of officers not their height, and LEGO minifigures are only about 1.5 inches tall.

But what about the added height of the block on the bottom, and their helmet on the top?....

Our local Nuclear research plant in Capenhurst has police so I'll guess its to do with nuclear facilities? Atomic police? Or could that be the latest Marvel heroes film..

Im assuming there is some sort of police task force of a few hundred officers that get sent to work with other forces when there is a major incident of some sort. What that force is called and if its the correct answer is another matter altogether.

The only other ones i can think of are :

MoD police - more than 500 i would think.
Queen / royalty protection or government / parliment protection but i think they both fall under the Met.

Great answer. But wrong (according to the QM's rules). The Civil Nuclear Constabulary has about 770 officers and is the smallest UK police force under home office control, but there is one smaller.

Maybe you are thinking of the SPG (replaced by the TSG) - its about 750 but within the Met (as is the Protection Command).
(The National Crime Agency has a staff of about 4,000 of whom 1,700 could be regarded as police officers.)

MoD Police is about 3,500.

Clue time:

I only discovered this police force a few days ago when travelling through their small jurisdiction on my way from Shrewsbury to Lancaster.

I can't imagine this is right, or why you would go via Liverpool when travelling from Shrewsbury to Lancaster, but the clue made me think of the Mersey Tunnels Police....
