Ok, I think it's a water buffalo

C

Correct Mr C - a Bubalus Bubalis, or a Carabao (hence the link to the Carabao Cup), is a water buffalo native to the Philippines.

It’s also the name of a Thai energy drinks company (think Red Bull but in Thailand)

Over to you once more!

Bubalis horn is an ingredient in TCM

What colour is gold leaf if you hold it up to the light and look through it?

I'm going to guess green, as the old Alchemists, and Percy, always seemed to end up with it,!

Yes, you are correct. It is a red diamond, the rarest of the, so called, fancy diamonds. An interesting fact is the other colours are products if some included substance, yet no one knows why a red diamond is red. There is a theory that it is to do with structure, but it is still just a theory. Over to you sir.

Gemstones is an interesting subject so many variations in colour for the same stone.

Any way next question, given we are experiencing a bit of a cold spell what was the coldest temperature recorded in the UK and if your feeling really smart when and where?

Given terminal velocity is 120mph you could only add to that with the angle of the slope for a downhill sprint, optimum being around 60 degrees is going to put you around 180mph with wind resistance even with a streamlined suit etc. probably around 155mph?

Excellent estimating and remarkably close to the correct answer. Next time I need some Man Maths calculations i am going to give you a call.

You are close enough to the actual speed of 158.424mph on skis so over to you
