I would use them, but would also use stands depending how much force a was using. I always put the wheels under the car when I remove them as belt and braces.

Really don't see a problem.
They have been available in the States for years, if they would have been a problem, they wouldn't be now selling into Europe that is for sure!

Agreed, if an American trapped a finger through stupidity they'd get a payout , the only way it would collapse is if you tried to lift a truck with one and even then I doubt it'd be the hydraulics that'd fail

Looks good. I paid just over half that and can move it around (although I wouldn't describe it as portable), that is useful for me as the car is at one of two locations over the course of the year.
