I Have a set of Quick Silver back boxes currently still fitted to the car & am about to remove them

2003 4200 non valved.

From what I've heard they are a little bit louder but, IMO, you would need to put an X-pipe on as well to release the beast.

Hi

They are quite a lot louder than the originals.

I fitted them a couple of weeks ago having bought them second hand & have done around 300miles with them on.

To be honest I prefer to be able to have a conversation in the car without having to raise my voice & as I have the kids in the back most of the time they aren't really suitable so the originals are going back on. They do suffer from some in car drone around 2 -2300rpm, dropping the window a little cures this.

Just don't suit my style of driving to be honest

I have the quicksilver rear sports back boxes fitted, I agree they are much louder than standard ones although nowhere near as loud as BennyD's car, working on addressing that problem.

I suppose loudness is in the ear of the beholder; what is really loud to one person is pretty quiet to another. We are all different!
