No. The clamps are perfectly fine! The problem is, between the hoses and the cooler there is very limited space into the direction of the cooler. That means, if the hose is too thick, there is hardly any space between the hose and the radiator body and the clamps have the tendency to slip out of this gab.

Sorry, don't get that at all, but sure you can find some thinner hose :)

I'm pretty sure you can get thinner 2 layer silicone pipes from the usual suppliers for this reason. Merlin motorsport would be one supplier of the top of my head...

I now bought some thinner hoses:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/272588778589
Leaves more space for the clamps, but still very tight next to the cooler to fit the clamps around the hoses.
I don't really feel confident with this setup since the clamps have the tendency to press the hose away from the cooler.
Next thing would be to buy thinner clamps. That means the metal band will be 1mm thinner from the thickness of the metal: http://www.ebay.de/itm/251299573829?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
The problem is that I cannot apply that much force to these kind of clamps.
In my opinion this radiator is a real lack construction.
The 3 inner metal hoses don't even have a bulge to prevent the rubber hoses from slipping off.
Could anybody that has exchanged his 3 inner cooler hoses tell me his set up that he used?
I am not so keen on having a coolant leak at 38 degrees in Italy this summer :jptongue:
