I've got a 2012 Granturismo and the rain sensor is average at best. I don't bother using automatic wiper mode.

Mine improved since I learned that it needs resetting every time you drive (as described in the manual). You need to set the stalk to off and then drop it back down to auto. Bizarre, but at least it works now.

I always switch my wipers fully off when I park up so on mine it is still pants. When I first got the car I could not work out which end of the adjustment was meant to be the sensitive end. On all other cars I have owned with sensors when you increase the sensitivity it will wipe straight away but the Maserati will not. How this part was passed for production is beyond me but more importantly it could be fixed with a software reprogram but Maserati cannot be bothered. This will appear to be a small thing but from time to time it has nearly had me sat in a BMW showroom asking about discounts on a 640i/650i.

Auto wipers are dreadful. Tried to get them "fixed" under warranty but apparently they were working as "normal".....

I find once I figure out how to actually get them on they work quite well and react to changing conditions reasonably well.

Agreed other cars do it better. It's like Maserati looked at the recognised parts suppliers' brochures and then said 'Nah, let's design our own system. It'll be fun'.
