Random suspension warning light

Bit of a weird one but this afternoon as I was driving the shock absorber graphic flashed up as a warning and promptly disappeared. No change in how the car drove and I don't have Skyhook so does anyone have any idea why this would occur?

I replaced my shock this year after a leaking one was flagged up at Emblem but this happened about a year ago as well but thought nothing of it. Could it be a faulty sensor that may need replacing?

Strange but does the suspension check light come on and go off with the others every time you start up ?
As if you don't have Skyhook you won't have the control unit on the car.

Phil doesn't the GT/GC run the same ABS sensor wheel bearings as the 4200?

When they go on the 4200 they throw up similar lights?

Just a thought.

Light goes off as usual when I start up the car...just noticed it flash on this afternoon whilst driving normally.

Mine does that occasionally as well but with no change in the way it drives. Just flashes on and off again immediately on rare occasions.

There doesn't appear to be any reason for it and it's not in particular conditions either. I just put it down to Italian randomness.

You may have hit the nail on the head, I had the same on my GTS which was the ABS sensor and I had to change the whole wheel bearing as unfortunately it's all one unit. But mine did have skyhook so it could be something else?

Mine did this last on thursday night. Abs kicked in even though the car wasnt skidding or about to skid. The dash lit up like a xmas tree and MSP turned itself off. Its due its service and MOT in January but im expecting it needs a new abs sensor / bearing. Unless its an intermittent wiring fault.

Everything cleared again after a restart.

Could be the low oil level sensor with an intermittent fault, that throws up the same error check light as a faulty damper actuator..

Maybe it's something to do with the fact you have two rev counter needles???

I'd bet good money on wheel speed sensor in the hub. Very likely a one-time intermittent bad connection, moisture short, or other situation that confused the computer.
