I've hammered my l322 since purchase end May done, 6000 miles, south of France and numerous trips to northern Scotland and its got its first fault, rear wiper not working. Averaged 22.9 over 6000 miles which I'm more than happy with, from.a jag 4.4 petrol
The more abuse they get the better they drive, they hate being idle just "get in a drive" as Rhianna would say

Afternoon all. So just had an email from my current insurers and they will not insure my L405 when the policy elapses as they do not insure Range Rovers anymore. Does anybody know any marque specialists that they can recommend for insurance. Greatly appreciated.
Does this amount to an having to state that you have had an insurer that refuses to insure you when you take out your next policy?

Totally agree, but I never manage this with the quatttoporte as is surgically placed in the garage so as always pushed for time it doesn't get out much

Did they state why?
Yes. They simply said they are not providing any new policies for Range Rovers as they massively undercharged last year. They were then hit with massive claims from vehicles being stolen in the London area, and suffered losses on those policies.

Thank you. Good to know it's not a nation wide trend, but their own luck/gamble .

@drellis drove the whole of New Zealand in my petrol L322 including one of the World's most dangerous roads Skippers Canyon outside of Queenstown.
Still rate that car as one of the best I've owned.

They love to be driven thats for sure, so many electrical issues are caused by small battery drains.

On insurance thats the 2nd l405 owner I’ve heard unable to insure it, hopefully not an l322 issue

To be fair the advisor was hinting that a lot of companies are not insuring Range Rovers now. He also mentioned Porsche Cayenne as another problematic vehicle.

To be clear I’m not unable to insure it other companies will do but the premiums have jumped exponentially.

Gaaah! Now I have to stop working and spend 40 minutes reading and watching videos about Skipper's Canyon!

Insurance in May for the wife was around £500, but an l322 won't be a target for stealing now

My rear wiper stopped working, I repaired it for £6.99 , a good dose of rainX

430bhp, anything behind is irrelevant anyway
