Thank you. I’m so glad to all the contributors, for keeping Ryan’s memory alive. I just wish more people had met him to know what a great kid he was. Whilst Crud can f’ck off, I’m so grateful to the rest of you guys. More importantly, so is Sue. X

Well early tomorrow Peter sets off on this marathon bike ride, raising money for such worthwhile causes.

If you have not already done so, read the “back story” and if you can, dig deep and pledge some £££££’s.

“Good like Peter and a safe trip and keep us posted”

Hi everyone
Tomorrow morning at 7am I begin my marathon 1130 mile slog to Valencia.
This ride has entailed hours and hours of training, two stolen bikes and more recently a bad fall hitting my head rendering me unconscious and with loss of memory. Raising funds for Bone Cancer Research however makes this all worthwhile.
To all those who have donated thank you so much for your generosity. To all those who have not yet donated there is still plenty of time.
I met Ryan and he left a lasting impression on me. He had every right to be angry given the lousy card he had been dealt but still managed a smile. What a fantastic young man and brave beyond words.
I would ask all of you who have not yet donated to dig deep. Just a little something to this wonderful charity could nake such a difference. The researchers are tirelessly seeking a better outcome for those suffering from this awful disease. Bone cancer kills adults and children alike. On behalf of the chatity and of course Benny and Sue who still grieve after all these years and always will….
Please please help. Not asking you to break the bank but please please help.❤️

Well guys, the day has come when Urby starts his epic ride. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the cause. For those that haven’t, I get it; times are hard and funds are short, and it’s the same with me. However, I’m just glad it’s Urby dripping his fetid sweat and not me! Again, thanks to everybody who has supported the forum’s cause. Best wishes, and big kudos. X

Right guys, I’ve been given a sharp reminder to keep everyone informed as to how the old goat is getting on. So far all is well, and he is resting just to the South West of Pavillon De Gouffern. Yes, I know; why the CESMs don’t speak the Kings’ English is beyond all reason and logic. Fwiw, at this point I don’t actually know if he’s in a hotel or lying in a ditch with the twisted remains of his two wheeled mobility scooter thrown in on top. I guess all will become clear tomorrow, if his location moves beyond the local morgue. Watch this space, and all will be revealed. In the meantime, for all the Newbies, and lurkers, there’s no shame in donating, so dig deep and humour the silly old bugger. Thanks!

Nantwich calling, Nantwich calling; it would appear he wasn’t in the morgue last night as he has moved quite a way down south. He is now stationary in yet another town named by a dyslexic scrabble player. Apparently, the tiles landed in the following order; Savigne l’Eveque, which would be pretty good on a triple word score. Fyi, this former German garrison town is 20-30 miles to the North East of Le Mans. So Urby got from London to Le Mans quicker than the usual Gitte crowd do in cars. Really guys, you must try harder! Watch this space for further updates, and don’t forget, you can only read them if you chip in!

But remember after the first night, many of us are driving with one eye closed due to there being two roads and worse, ambulance drivers with death wishes...
