The Changeling was problematic for me. Same circumstances - the confluence of tiredness, champagne and becoming a little too absorbed in the film.

Generally I err towards comedies or frivolous action films on flights now (Pacific Rim, Fast & Furious, The Internship... that kind of low-involvement stuff). Less socially awkward.

Years ago my company leased office space in the Queen's Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, London home to Les Mis. Consequently we had a large banner under our office window which proudly declared "Les Miserables". Which didn't necessarily provide the right level of motivational impetus. Went to see it once. That also didn't provide the right level of motivational impetus.

I was going to see this at the flicks, now I will just go and buy the blue ray and stick it on my big screen, beer, nuts, crisps, popcorn and a log fire to keep me company, that's a night to look forward to..!!
