They won't, sorry. They claim it's merely a contract to travel, and exclude all other consequential losses.

Moral of the story; don't fly with Ryanair. You are better off walking.

Unless the car parking was booked through RyanAir, why would they be responsible for the consequential loss? Have I missed something??

Anyone who breaks the stranglehold of the national carriers and takes a few risks in opening up new routes and countries to the freedom of travel gets my vote....used a number of national airlines over the years.....never very fussed on them

That's the problem with RA. They have the niche market in some areas - sown up. We wanted to go to Rome at short notice last week - Manchester to Ciampino: £32!!!

Next month we fly to Sardinia (AHO) and only 2 airlines fly there: Allitalia: 11hrs 45mins!!!!! £340. Or RA: 2hrs 15mins for £109 return!!!

Now that whatsisname has taken a back seat (sic) I have to admit to breaking my ban on the airline and finding that lately their service has picked up...They allocate seats normally now, too!

Likewise, been flying a lot with RA recently to to and from Faro. Despite reservations, I haven't been able to fault the flight service so far. You can reserve your seats and every flight has arrived early. Just avoid having to speak to their customer service call centre.........

Did you know that they have (a) the most modern fleet of aircraft in Europe and (b) the highest punctuality rate in Europe.

Hmmmm....

Both are easy to achieve and fairly meaningless.

RA have a young fleet that's true, but so what?
On time arrivals is easy to sort - the published timetabled arrival time is later than the actual expected arrival time by some margin, so the flights are pretty much always 'on time'. Meaningless statistic.

Drew: Don't be so cynical: Let me rephrase the stats in light of your reply:

1: Comparing all European airlines, RA have the most modern fleet because they have invested heavily in that process, whereas the rest have not been as aggressive.
2. Punctuality is in the control/domain of ALL airlines - RA happen to be better at it than ALL the others.

There....pick the bones out of that one - and try to appreciate that they are giving it a go, unlike some airlines out there.

Agree Zoros...but they ALWAYS pad out the flight time

Also a lot of customers like the thought of being in newer greener aircraft.

Considerable investment over last 10 yes and next ten years.

Then its USA here we come!!!!
