It’s a good un! unbelievably the hospital sent me home with a pair of Scizzor looking things for my wife to use to take the staples out..next week...like that’s a remote chance of happening!!!

I’d had a few drinks admittedly but honestly don’t know or remember how I managed it.
In Oz bathrooms have a 2.5-3inch slope on the floor rising from the room outside. I reckon I caught that and stumbled......my wife also thinks our 3 year old may have left a towel lying on the floor (that we ignored) that I may have tripped on.
Either way I’m now very tentative going in and out of the loo!

Ps ironically my wife bought me a Fitbit for Christmas

Nice stitches, Wattie, but no way to spend 4 hours. Your poor wife must have been traumatised!

Good luck with the staple remover. Rather you than me!

Yeah she was...think she thought I was a goner. Lots of claret everywhere.
I left her behind with the little one and stumbled off to meet the ambulance which took 35 mins to arrive.
Tell you what, makes you realise that life can change in the blink of an eye!

There was a forum precedent set for this particular accident in LeMans by Mr Kulin with the added insult of requiring a shower having just rubbed the wrong cream into his balls by mistake! Instead of anti itching cream, he applied his chilli vegan variant of deep heat!!!!! then slipped in the shower knocking himself out!!!!

It's just a flesh wound:

Clearly you're not well practised in the ancient art of the head-butt.
May I recommend a long weekend break in Glasgow :)

Ouch - does look rather sore!! Take it easy.

Ha ha, actually I’m originally from Edinburgh......should have spent more time in Glasgow eh!

Thanks for all the well wishes.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and of course an excellent 2018!

That's mental mate! What hospital was it?
GP practice nurse should be able to take them out- phone them! It will heal great and you will look double hard.
I bet that bled like ****. You are lucky.

Appointment made at my local gp for next Tuesday...My “Edward Scizzorhands wife will not be going anywhere near it....neither does she want too!
I was patched up at Goldcoast Private Hospital.
Yup, I am very very lucky.
