Secondary Air Injection System

Hi

Getting a returning error code which has been reset but comes on usually every week.

P0492. The description is "Secondary Air Injection System"

Has anyone had this error and if so from people's experience is it likely to be the pump?

My pump failed on the old 3200,just disconnected it...It only works for about 60 seconds from cold then times out..

If it ever goes for a emission test the engine will be hot anyway..

It will be the pipe that goes round the front of the engine. It rusts through and causes loss of pressure, classic 4200 issue and cheap to fix.

One of those 20 / 20 warranties, 20 mins or 20 miles which ever comes first

It came up once in the year I had it, cleared it, never came back so left it.

Item 4 I believe. Attached to the main pipe there is also a small bore pipe attached behind it.

Mine ended up being item 5, check valve. Replaced it with a used one and all is well!
