How much do people pay for an oil change on a QPV ? I live in London and getting a range of £250 - £350 which seems a little crazy??

Filter £35 - Castrol Edge 5W40 Oil £66 = so parts are £100. Getting £150-£250 for 1/2hr labour, even in a city centre, is good for business

yes it is... especially since they use the "factory approved" shell ultra helix 5w-40- which can be had for about £53 for 10L. I use a full ester oil, that costs £113 for 10L (about the 3rd most expensive oil you can get), A filter is about £20-30, and a sump washer is £3-5.

You're in central London? I'm in SW1. If you've got a garage, drop me a message and I'll come around and show you how to change your oil/do it with you. Really easy- no different than cheaper cars.

Thanks for this and the kind offer. I’m in Wimbledon, but without a garage so unfortunately that won’t work but thanks nonetheless!

I've used this service many times. They used to provide tools too, but now they only rent the ramp/lift; its £20 per hour, which is all you need, and they have an oil catch drum to fit under the car while you drain the oil. Super easy. As stated, if you're up for it, will do it with you.

Sounds like a good idea to do a business like that but not sure how it can make much money.

the concept is good, but it was run badly- they didn't control tools in/out well, and they also had a deal withe Europarts so that parts where delivered while you worked- although they charged the client, they then didn't pay the supplier... I've seen other businesses like this in the US work very well, but they where run better.

Thanks for this offer and will likely take you up on it. Just had my other car stolen last night, so going to focus on sorting that for now!
