Rich - I thought there was a lip on bottom of the strut so it could not sink any further into the hub carrier ?

That sounds familiar - I'd need to look on the original struts which are in the garage at home. Either way I can confirm that we were definitely able to make some adjustment and this did sort the clearance issues we have on the nearside.
To be clear on what they were - the nearside tyre was rubbing on the underside of the nearside spring retainer. We were scratching our heads for some time on why this would be only on one side - until with help from Emblem we realised that there is some adjustment possible of the strut in the hub carrier - as mentioned above.
I don't expect many people to have that specific issue as we are running larger wheels and track spec tyres - but the adjustment is relevant to someone that has ground clearance issues.
