Now there's the result of a couple of proper hydrolocks I was asked to recover from a river flash flood in South Sudan

After my Spyder’s engine ate itself due to an oil pump failure, reading this made me wince in PTSD. Rebuild it! Should be able to readily replace the hydrolock damaged parts. I did the whole engine swap, $6kUS for the entire engine, plus labor, of course.
Would think a lower end rebuild would come in less than that.
Also just inspired me to do that air cleaner mod, I have all the parts ready to go but got distracted by the heater core madness.
Keep us posted !

How long are the lower legs of that guy? He must be 11 feet tall!

Or it's only the left third of a Land Cruiser, in which case hardly a surprise it fell over.
Buno crossing is quite notorious in Eastern Equatoria for flash flooding and catching people unawares, here's another I had the pleasure of recovering although even my front loader wouldnt pull/dig this bugger out ( I should have brought the excavator down but they didnt want to pay the $$$$ ) I ended up commandeering a local tank which did it quite easily but made an awful mess of it
