Folks; I just checked my credit card statement for the last month and The deposit taken at the Hilton Ageas Bowl has not been credited back...

As I put nothing on the room this shouldn't have been a problem, I've called them and reminded them of the error of their ways and hopefully it will magically appear in the next few days. I have had this with other hotels 'forgetting' to refund deposits...

Just thought others may want to check although with some of the bar bills maybe not!

Ah, I had a cunning plan for mine, I drank it! ( or more correctly we,) I owed them £1.30 on leaving

I declined to provide one, useful ploy, as on leaving I had a bar tab apparently equal to a service cost on a QP. Keen eyed members will have noticed me knocking back the champagne all night... Maybe not.

Just watching Bitchin' Rides (rubbishy name for a programme!) - a guilty pleasure. It's one of the few car programmes that mainly features the car builds and not the 'characters' who build them. They're restoring a GMC Futurliner, a bizarre promotional vehicle from the 40s. I remember seeing one at Goodwood this year - Stephane's pic



I knew of them, but didn't know on,y 12 were made. Very rare and very cool IMO!
