Hi, I just discovered that the driver’s seat back switch in my Spyder seems to have disconnected from the microswitch (arrowed) that moves it back and forward. Naturally I hardly ever use it so don’t know when it broke; I suspect the last service but who knows.
I think the broken part must be a forked piece of plastic with the fork end in the microswitch. The microswitch still works if I use a small screwdriver to move it.
Does anyone have suggestions for a simple repair. I can’t see how to easily remove the main switch with the seatback on it. Given that all still functions I’m reluctant to buy a new complete switch, and remove the seat to fit it, at least until I’ve finished the sound system upgrade already in progress .
Thanks, as always.
