So I've got my GTS

If I may interject with a query... Mine has 16000 miles on the clock (I've done just over 1000 since I bought it about 2mths ago). One thing that I'm somewhat baffled by is that the steering wheel leather, particularly around the top and the side facing AWAY from the driver i.e. you can see it through the windscreen, is really quite worn. The leather hasn't rippled or anything like that, but the black dye has really heavily faded out of it. Anyone else experienced this? I've never seen it on a car before in this way, but I'm also happy to accept that its "just the way they are" and part of the joy / unpredictability / ...

Mine has done the same but on the face of the wheel. I've got an extended Trident warranty so will have a chat with my dealer, but I'm guessing I'll be applying some black leather dye at some point.

New question,is there a setting where when you turn the ignition off, the interior lights stay on for a delay?
Can't find it if there is?

My GTS had a load of panels replaced under warranty. It's a known fault that Maserati don't quibble about.

God I love this car.
Nice car meet this morning, where several owners of more expensive exotica couldn't believe that I had a standard exhaust ( and I only came up the road to the car park at 30mph!),and how fantastic it sounded.
Lovely day for driving, did nearly 100 miles going absolutely nowhere, can't wait 'til tomorrow to do it again!
I'm still pinching myself....

Hi Sjc,
Well done on the beautiful GTS, looks stunning.
You seemed to have got answers for most of your questions but FYI I did have the reverse button changed in mine (the only thing to have gone wrong!). It didn't fail but you had to press it pretty hard to get reverse to engage, hence the R wearing off. Now the button only needs the slightest press to work so it maybe yours is on the way out. The 1st button can be avoided by using the paddles instead so shouldn't wear. Friendly dealer under goodwill gesture perhaps?
Keep enjoying, their very addictive!
Cheers Blu

Slightly off topic, but I'm going for the chrome window trim in body colour, and maybe have the plastic door mirror mount covers done as well, but leave the door handles chrome for now.
Still doesn't appear to be any facility to put in the post code for my Sat-Nav, only town and street. Colchester is going to look for an update.
I'd quite like a new "1" and "R" button on the centre console as they're a tad worn, but no joy as in true Maserati tradition it's the complete part only, and alas it's the same with the blue plastic key fob cover, one of which has a piece broken off.
Bit by bit I'm getting the car to how I want it condition wise, and learning about it abilities. In it's dual role capacity, I was quite happy to poodle home last night with Sport switched off, cruise set to 60,and see if I could hit the magic 20mpg!

Cheers Blu, just had the news that along with a couple of interior panels where the leather is coming unstuck/shrinking,the buttons have been ordered under the Trident extended warranty. A small thing that will make a massive difference inside!
