Hi All ,
Anybody know best way of cleaning out stowage compartment on Spyder, is it ok to stop opening operation to clean this space?,also have to fit some protection round wiring bundle, this I believe stops roof chaffing,
Last job to fit elastic to roof hoop, this stops binding during stowage.

All replies gratefully received.

Chief.

I stop mine when it is closing and then clean it out, seems to be fine as long as I don't power off the ignition. Even then I just have to fold in gently back in and then it is fine.

This.

As long as you have the ignition on you're ok to stop it, but as soon as the ignition goes off, it looses pressure and can be a pain to get back into place. Usually can be done using the controls in the glove box if needed.

I do have a couple of ragged edges forming, but nothing serious at the moment. I was going to look at sealant that someone else mentioned when it gets closer to autumn

My hood seems to be wearing well, lots of preventive treatment seems to be the best way to keep it lasting as long as possible

I have been using Mcguires, helped waterproofing, looks ok but the two wee marks on either side are a mystery, and I can't believe I am the only one.

Top has not been down a lot but some thing is causing the marks. Regarding the jamming problem, it is the second spar from the front sticking ,if I push it back as top is opening, it works fine.Elastic will have to be installed eventually.

Put some tape over the ends of the second spar as that was the only thing that I could see might cause damage.

Any further hints would be great..
