Sad though it is to admit it I have a portable vacuum that plugs into the 12v socket that I take with me to events just in case. Cue Dave's comment ...

Actually it is growing on me, a lot! I think it is just blue enough to live with
fist proper drive in it this morning and thoroughly returned the smile, it is sewing machine quiet though...

Well I've made many departures from events a lot more gracefully than that; probably took a year off my clutch in a cloud of smoke! I am resolved to removing the FD box tomorrow, it just interferes too much, my first launch from a stand still and it just didn't let the clutch out!

At least your car didn't go into limp mode just as you were leaving!
It hasn't done that for about a 2-3 months and it was pretty embarrasing having no power on the first part of the drive back. I erased the codes and did a throttle reset, which worked for a while but it's throwing throttle codes again ;(
