Hi All,

I'm looking to sort out my rusty wheel nuts in the near future and was wondering if anyone had any spare wheel nuts that they could lend me? It's for a 4200 front and rear.

Would be much appreciated!

Cheers

I have a full set of GS wheel bolts which I believe are the same as a 4200. You're welcome to borrow them. I'm in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.

Excellent! Thanks so much guys.

Do either of you come into central london, and if so would you be willing to carry them in?

Not planning on London for the foreseeable I'm afraid (except ACE this evening, but then I don't have the bolts with me). I was thinking perhaps you'd pop out to Reading one evening.

rossyl: you could go for the stainless steel version from sprogs - good quality and price. saves you rechroming every so often

This is good advice. I bought a set of +15mm longer bolts from Sprogs - custom made to go with my spacers from Hill Engineering. They are a work of art and well worth the cost IMO.

MAF: if I remember the cost it was a similar price to what I was quoted by a local company for rechroming and as you say work of art

I think they're a bit dearer (£150 springs to mind) but that's the cost of rechroming twice which many members have had to do. In addition you get a brand new set of lovely stainless bolts and could possibly sell on the old ones after rechroming at a profit?

Sprogs' stainless steel bolts are the only option in my mind. Well worth the moneybut if you want to go the rechroming route I could lend you mine, I'll be at LGW Sunday morning at about 0830(!) if you want to borrow them.

A recent price I got from sprogs was £170 delivered . I choose to go the vauxhall insigna wheel nut caps route and sprayed them silver for the moment .

I have sprogs' bolts too, and you're welcome to borrow my old ones if you're going the chrome route. Back in London next week, just pm if you want to use them.

If you're going to keep her two plus years, then go down S/S route, it less then re-chrome.........£80 ( approx) vs £150 plus postage
