A gentleman was driving his Maserati along the motorway when he noticed a stationary police car positioned on the bridge overhead. As the driver of the Maserati approached, he realised that the police car was in fact made of cardboard. He thought that this must be some sort of road safety initiative. Anyway imagine his surprise when the cardboard police car moved off, joined the motorway from the slip road and then signalled him to stop. Having pulled over to the hard shoulder a cardboard policeman got out and spoke to the driver. He pointed out to the Maserati driver that had been speeding to the tune of 50 mph. The driver protested his innocence assuring the policeman that the speed limit was 70 mph. The policeman thought about this for a moment and then apologised 'I'm sorry I am really not cut out to be a traffic patrol officer'.
