Speedo with no lights!

Looking for a spot of help please.... my 4200 has somehow managed to loose all light to the speedo! The rest of the cockpit remains lit (well apart from the front interior light!) and the lights on the front of the car still work. But for some reason I have no idea what speed I'm doing at night!!!

Is this a simple fuse and if so - which one and where is it?

Appreciate your help

Mark

Hi Mark,

I'm sure it's just set to dark.... look in your handbook for setting option; I'lll have a check of mine later unless you get it sorted first.

Oh - I didnt know there was such a setting!! I know you can alter the brightness of the dashboard but not set it to dark.

Really appreciate it if you can find any more on this?

Cheers

Hi Mark,

the dimmer is on the button that sticks out through the rev counter; give that a check first....

I may have been recalling the 'Dark' Button for the NIT display but I hope it is nothing more than they are dialled out.

My God - you are indeed right! Thank you so much - I just popped out to check it and somehow someone has turned the knob so it was off. I didnt even realise thats how you dimmed it!

Do you happen to know if its easy to change the front interior light? (the one in the roof that comes on when you get out?)

Thanks again

Mark

Thats a tempramental bugger too. Are you sure its broken? I left the door open on mine a while back and it messed with the interior light (it wouldnt come on when the door opened etc) but its started working fine again now. I could turn it on manualy at all times - can you turn yours on at all?

Happy to help Mark, I've not tackled the roof light though - good luck I'd imagine it is just a pop out, it's just finding the right spot to pop!

Its the same light cluster as on any GTV. It has spring clips so it pop out. The spring clips are metal and not plastic, so they won't snap.

Thanks chaps - the light is 100% off even when manually put on/off.

What part do I need to buy and is it easy to unclip?

Cheers
