While sat stationary in traffic this afternoon, I noticed the speedo was showing 17 MPH and not 0.... wondered if this has been heard of before? Anybody noticed this on their 4200/GS?

my 3200 shows 15mph whilst stationary, when moving it is accurate.........my guess, a sticky needle, bit of dirt in mechanism. not too worried - unless I should be that is:saifi3:

It's supposed to be like that. If you look closely you will see a small black pointer stop at the 20km mark, ( 17mph.)

A normal gauge will only be accurate between 10 and 90% ish.

I've learnt something new there, I didn't realise that.

For comparison I'm going to check the Alfas as I'm fairly sure they hold at 0 MPH when not on the move.

Anyway, Maseratis are 'special' ;-)
