These are the questions that we are waiting to be answered. If not we will cancel the order and refund everyone in full.

Hi chaps,

I've been offered a set of these from someone who no longer needs their set. Is there any news on whether it's going ahead? I need to decide whether to hold off and wait for these or just go ahead and bite the bullet.

cheers

Still checking Woody, if I were you I would take the spare set mate, there is a chance this batch may not go ahead.

Please let me know if the vendor is selling at a profit, that is not the on, we produced them profit free.

Just make sure they are not the discs that Neil is peddling they are not to be confused with discs we produce via a known quality UK brake manufacturer and the indemnity is thus covered by them.

Tks for letting us know as I also have a opportunity to buy a set elsewhere & and need to change very soon. I'll keep mine as a spare if they go ahead.

I've swapped mine over a while back and the old one's may still be reasonably serviceable subject to a skimming. If anyone wants them then they are welcome to them as long as they do not sell them but put them on their 3200/ 4200/GS/F550 if they are getting desperate.

I'm happy to get someone back on the road/pass an MOT to tide them over whilst they are awaiting the third batch.

Sorry Matt, I wasn't clear. The set I've been offered is a part of this batch, if it goes ahead. Basically taking someone's place on the order.

I've been given prices for other discs, genuine OEM, but blimey they're not cheap! Could do without a £3k bill on top of an annual :)

Hi,

do you mind me asking asking where you've sourced? I've tried the usual suspects but they're an expensive option!

Three days from now, 14 Sept, will be the two year anniversary of the original announcement of this "third group buy" of aftermarket discs. This looked like an excellent opportunity when first announced. Nevertheless, it seems to me that we are long overdue for "calling in the loan" on this one and starting over. Regardless of the reason, a considerable sum of money is unaccounted for with no results though it is two years on.

Surely I am not the only one who feels my own interests would at this point be better served by a return of my money. Originally, I was going to put this set of discs on the shelf against the day they would be needed and if not needed, to pass them on to the next owner of my Coupe. I now need them and they are simply no where in sight. I am perfectly capable of sourcing a suitable set on my own, even at some additional cost (right now, however, my cost per [undelivered] disc is infinite). I don't doubt the sincerity of the person or persons involved and certainly the attempt to lower our collective costs was a worthwhile goal, but it just didn't work out for some as yet, ill-defined reason. I believe clearing the accounts is in order.

Lee I feel your pain. MAF has asked for the money to be returned and we are still waiting to here.

Hallo,

Has the final decision been made ? There will be no third group ?
How do shields made for groups 1 and 2 ?

Why can not we buy more sets ? Please explain, we waited over a year ...

:frustrating:

I agree with Lee. I'm happy for others to persevere if they wish, but I'd rather have my money back. No hard feelings to anyone involved, in fact, I'm pleased there are people who try to help out this way. But I don't need the disks anyway and was merely going to store them for possible future use. Given I only do maybe 1k miles a year in the MCV I'd be unlikely to need them anytime soon.

Guys I think as Matt said Maf is trying to resolve the matter , so i think he should be given the chance to get the money back for all of us ( or ask for a time schedule when they think it will be resolved ) .

In the meantime if anybody requires discs for there cars the discs are available from Ferrari they are more expensive but if you need them at list you can get them

Just had an update from MAF, he's getting no where fast with the refund and the plan is for him to refund the money personally and then pursue it.

You cant ask fairer than that!

More updates as we get them.

My 2p's worth. I certainly appreciate people taking the time and effort to help others 100%. This is unwavering.

If there have been some issues we should share, support and assist where we can. If there has been an written order and the order has not been fulfilled for whatever reason then we should take them to court if either the order is not fulfilled soon or a refund not given. I am happy to wait as don't need the discs yet but I think after the length of time for a fairly standard/common part this should be concluded now.

I don't think it is right that MAF should personally take this burden on and it is honourable that he should offer this. A group/class action against the supplier or some bad publicity shouldn't be too difficult. Someone somewhere has the money and they should provide the goods or return the money. Pretty simple unless there are some underlying issues or complexity. Either way I am happy to help or support where I can publicly or privately. You only need to ask ;)

I need new discs so would welcome a refund to purchase elsewhere if this is where we are.

I've let another forum member have my spares from the first group buy so don't have any other option. Am guessing those who don't need to replace now can wait longer.

It's a shame we are having problems with the manufacturer as i can see there's been a lot of effort to get this group buy working and am grateful for the efforts of the forum.

What happened with this group buy?
The first two went without an issue.
Is it still the same vendor?

I am a bit puzzled by the fact that the order was paid in front. And that refunding by the producing company is not possible, even if it is clear that the batch is not going to be produced at all.
Could you tell us the name of the Company?
