Hi, in case I would like to have one of this fitted on my Granturismo, can you sell it to Italy? Do you have some 'authorized installer' here in Italy?
Thanks

Did you have to take the dash apart or is it a plug and play unit? I’m really caught between 2 minds wanting to keep my car looking stock or going with an aucar unit
Had mine done last year @ofenomeno99 and honestly, I love it. Went for the full infotainment upgrade...and just looks so classy. And not a sticky button in site.
Two days to install... and a week or two to have the actual hardware delivered.

Here's some pics:

Great work from Matt this past week to install a unit on my Stradale. I have a Samsung so am running Android Auto which is a first for me, lots to learn but the 4 hour journey home from Sportsitalia HQ allowed me to play around on it a bit and so far, absolutely fantastic - excellent work Matt!

It’s a great system, couldn’t live without mine, except the microphone for calls is not working. Really must get that fixed.

Went to see Paul @ Team Impulse (previously Prestige Installs) yesterday for a microphone fix on my Gen 1 SM Carplay setup that he originally fitted in 2019.
He fitted a new microphone and updated the software. All working perfectly now and Mrs Bebs can now hear me, which is a shame, as I was enjoying the peace and quiet ;)

I love mine, although I pine for a more elegant and less vulnerable camera installation. Maybe something more like this:

than this:

But it is hard to find a good space to fit a camera on the back of a QPV.

I don’t actually notice mine at all on the GT, Paul did a great job of hiding it under the chrome trim piece.

You can get cameras that fit in place of a number plate light. Just need to find the correct site.

The problem is that the underside of the boot lid on the QPV is very 'busy' with the centrally-positioned release button, lock, lights, etc. But. yes, I suppose you could put it in one of the lights somehow.

Matt did a good job fitting the camera on its little bracket, but I have seen a neater solution on @Devonboy 's car.

(Photo from a another forum where someone put LEDs in the plate lights.)

Your problem is, same as the GT, that the lip chrome trim inhibits the view.

Hence why I use the butterfly legged version as I can bend it to get round the most of it.

Really it needs a 3D print solution.....ours is up and running so watch this space.

I also ordered the 2018 GT on bootswitch with camera in it but then found out the entire boot depth is different and its NLA anyway.

You could also check out if a mazda 3 camera would fit but that would mean drilling the bumper or boot. Or get Matt to do what he did with his. Drilled the boot and number plate and sat it in the centre of the euro badge

You'll need to drill a new number plate now Matt to comply with the post Brexit UK number plate regulation rather than GB - the joys!
