Tech cloth too, I'm with Andy on the humps too.

Best thing about it is the Maserati badges on the wings, shame they didn't do that on the MCV instead of the enamel Italian flag.

There was one at Ace when we were there last. Wasn't impressed. Certainly not worth the extra cash IMHO.

I recently saw one in the USA for 28k usd, it was tempting at that price but after doing some research and seeing it was not a G/S , just a 4200 spyder with some bits added to make it look the same I decided not to go further.

I was amazed when I saw this advert. When I was GS shopping I very nearly bought a 90th Anniversary Spider that came up privately. It had done 25,000 miles and was £25000. A dealer beat me to it (it sold within 24hrs) and subsequently sold it on for around £32,000 if my memory serves me correctly.

If this price is representative then they have gone up massively in price since two years ago.

Im in the opposite camp and love the 90.

I have also yet to see any definitive evidence that the GS has anything different to the car. Same;

Exhaust
Body kit
Interior
Power output?

Just the humps (which I like) and the badges rather than the GS letters.

Was always lead to believe it never had the same power but all the other GS bits.....

Yeah shame that at the time I had not been looking at Spyders and didn't realize what a bargain it was. By the time I thought it was worth a call about, which was only the space of a few hours, it had already been reserved!

I guess the 90th Anniversary model is a bit like marmite you love it or hate it, but it is rare and increasing considerably in value. There are only 15 RHD models in the World. Marketing literature at the time clearly indicates that it came after the GS and not before "taking some styling cues" from the GS.

Top money, but no harm in asking for that. Given that a standard GS Spider with this mileage would be around £40k or so, it doesn't seem so far off to add a few more £k for something even more rare and collectable. I'd love one to park alongside my MCV, but not sure my wife could handle me buying another car just yet!

The chap who has one at Ace told me the agreed value for which his is insured. It doesn't start with a 3 or a 4!

As far as spec is concerned, providing it has valved back boxes and the same gearbox software as the regular GS, then it is effectively a GS Spyder.

The chap who owns that car is Mike1, the person who replied a couple of posts up.

Funny the ways it been looked at. I always saw them (as did the market) as below a Gransport Spyder, usually around £5-10k less. They're all 2005, not '06/07 as the GS Spyder, they're nearly all tech cloth, all blue or silver. In my eyes, £38k is about its price but if he gets it, fair play to him....

Surely a '2', a '5' would be crazy but good news if they're heading up for those who own one.

Hi Having just recently purchased one of these - not the one advertised mind you.....As far as I am aware the most recent sale was £47K Stg -

I would be interested in the agreed value insurance price...

Which for me to import that car into Ireland even with current exchange rates + Vehicle Registration Tax would bring up to €85,000 - €90,000

Same here Dicky, always saw them like that. I thought they didn't have the extra 10bhp that the GS and GS Spyder has?
