I gather from my twitter feed, someone put a blue spyder in a hedge in North Devon this morning... Thankfully report says occupants are just "walking wounded"...

hope its not one of our brethren on here...

Wet road. I know the manual says only use sport mode is dry conditions. I have and haven't had an issue in my GS but after seeing Ferraris and McClarens in one of those supercar crash videos spinning off in the wet by flooring it at what looks like normal motorway speeds, I think I will keep sports mode off from now on.

Maybe even the slippy road button....

The roads did seem very greasy this morning, hope the occupants are ok. If it gets written off does that make the remaining ones worth more?

From the looks of the pics the cars a gonna now... and I would guess not so much the sport button on ... just too much beans on a wet road..

What I love about the sport button in the wet (and dry) is that you can bounce the car off the rev limiter! Do this in the wet on a roundabout and it really is an eye opener! Makes you react pretty quickly too. Only drive in Sport if you expect to be giving a dab of oppo when you plant it.

Loving the usual BennyD v Contigo 4200/3200 banter. It's now reached a sort of understanding with the Benny boomerangs ha ha. Bless.

I know, it has turned into one of those paper book romances with the bad guy turning good and eloping with the damsel into the sunset......not saying which is which in this case though ;)

Let's face it, the boomerangs are the only thing worth keeping from a 3200 so I threw the rest of the cr4p away and replaced the worst thing on a 4200 with them. Best of both worlds? ;)

Always the way, with the build up of grease, oil and other detritus on the road from the dry weather, adding a bit of water will reduce grip in places.
I was always wary of this on a bike.
