Spyder wheel refurb

I need to get the spyder wheels refurb'd before Le Mans - that aren't bad but I would like them to be perfect.

Whilst they are away I don't want to leave the Spyder on axle stands so what cheap steel wheels can I fit just to so I can roll it in and out of the garage. I think some one mentioned Ford Mondeo steels will fit?

Any info appreciated

I use two refurb companies, one for run of the mill stuff but these guys when it really needs to be spot on http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/

Re wheels to roll the car in and out of the garage, once I get my extra set from Matt happy to lend you a set of wheels whilst you get yours done as you are only down the road.

okay guys I know I am across the pond but I would really enjoy seeing the wheels you had refurbed when you get them back or if you already have them back. It could possibly help the guys here as well if they are looking for a place later on and come across this thread. Sorry.... pop-up books and pics are just my thing!:dance4:

Hi Craig! Here's what I did to mine. (before and after shots)
The cost was $600 total, and I dropped off and picked up the car in about 7 hours (same day service).
One shot is the difference between original to grigio mercury. (my cracked rim along side the "new" rim)
The other 2 are before and after.
Still deciding whether to have the center caps done in the same color, but I kind of like the contrast.

Hey Tubber, that looks good man! I like it much better than the OEM color. It blends into the color of the car better, and I noticed the blacked out lights as well! Made for a good combination. Starting to wonder if I had a bad sense of humor and people didn't like it, glad you posted!

One question, did they clear over paint or powder coat?

My opinion for what it's worth on the caps. If you have them painted you are going to have to change the color of the trident or there won't be any contrast for it to stick out. I think you are okay with those caps because the back ground is adding contrast for the similar colored trident to stick out. If you paint them the same color as the rims try a black Trident or red to match the Calipers.....only a suggestion though of course.

@Smasher.....I'll take a few full shots tomorrow. A bit rainy here, but should be fine to see it all.

@Craig...The rims were finished in a clear coat.

I was thinking the same thing about the center caps.
If I do have them painted, I was thinking a red trident....or maybe black?? I may experiment with the 2 spare center caps I have to see which way to go.
