Hi,
If you think your speakers are very nice quality then I doubt very much if they are the original speakers. Mine are still the factory fitted ones and are cheap and nasty . The speakers in my wifes citroen C3 are far superior! I intend to change them as soon as I can. I understand that you could get a factory upgrade which included a bigger amp and perhaps this included better speakers, but some of the other guys may put me right.

Regards

Auditorium 200 was the upgrade, I belive (certianly was on the GS) - if you have this, you'll have the symbol visible within in the car.

I had an '02 car with the standard stereo and now own a '04 car with the upgrade stereo (yes the upgrade has a little badge above the front speakers indicating Auditorium 200 or something). The standard stereo sounded awful so I changed the speakers and this made a noticeable difference. The Auditorium 200 is good enough for me that I don't feel like changing the speakers - it goes louder with less distortion and the frequency response from bass to treble is better (certainly bass is better).

When upgrading the speakers take the old ones out (easy to do) and use that for size comparison - in the doors especially you need shallow fit speakers. It's worth it considering the cost is only about £50. I also changed the rear speakers of the 02 car (not in the headrest, the passenger side speakers), but didn't make as much of a difference to changing the fronts.
