Stradale First Service

Just looking for some advice......

My Stradale was a stock car and had been sitting at the garage a few months before I brought it, on collection it had less than 20 miles. I have just noticed the service indicator is showing the first service on the aniversary of when the car was checked over by the garage rather than when i collected it.

I am guessing it's best to get the car serviced based on the indicator rather than 2 years from purchase?

I would check with jct600 but for the sake of keeping the warranty in check, I suggest that your assumption is correct

Makes sense Stuart to keep all the dates aligned, luckily the warranty wasn't started until the day of collection.

Apparently its quite common for the warranty to start as soon as the cars delivered to the garage......

Really , I've never heard of a manufacturer warranty that doesn't start from the date of purchase, ditto the first service , due from the date of purchase not delivery or manufacture.

The question I'd ask the dealer is if waiting for the anniversary of purchase affects the warranty as they're bound to say get it serviced now if you word it like that

I'd agree with Wack, unless of course, it was pre-registered when purchased. If it was not registered and sold as a new car, then surely it should have all applicable warranty.
