Owned from 7k miles to date by an OCD Alfa owner mate of mine, well worth picking up when it came for sale

Congrats! I know him from Alfaowner. I would think any car from him (and strictly speaking her ;)) will be a belter.

Can't beat an Alfa GT. ;)

Ok mines a diesel, but it does have to do intergalactic miles! And at 60 mpg with 200 BHP, can't complain!
(Mine been remapped and de-cated).

Picking up my new runaround today.

2010 GT Cloverleaf 2.0JTS

Had a diesel in the past and loved it but went for something different.

Still love em.media.jpg

OK week 1 with the GT summary:

A great car, fantastic engine unlike most 24V units it has loads of low down torque along with top end power. It drives well and is a nice comfortable place to be. It is fast and will sit nicely at any speed you choose.

Downsides the turning circle is appalling, almost impossible to get out of our drive in one go. Sarah finds it hard to drive as she has the seat so far forward that there is not room for her arm to fit between the seat bolster and the gear lever. It is hard to park as you can't see any of the corners but I might get used to that.

It needs a pair of front tyres (ordered) and at night the high level brake light is too bright and lights up the whole back of the car.

Overall I am happy it is like a GTV but less twitch on the back and once the tyres are sorted and maybe a few suspension tweaks it will be a great everyday car. It is a testament to its pervious owners Simon & Clare that it doesn't look, feel or drive anything like its mileage would suggest it should.

A bit of a mixed report from Mrs Zag I guess but the upsides sound good and I have never owned an Alfa that has a fantastic driving position if I'm honest. I think we tend to overlook those kind of things if we really love the car.

Mrs Z problem is that she is only short so has the seat a long way forward and as the seats have rather larger bolsters she does not have room to get her arm between the bolster and the gear lever so she ends up almost bending her arm back to use the gears - it does look uncomfortable, I have suggested putting her on the rack to stretch her a bit but she didn't seem impressed and replied no issue she will just use the Maserati :(
