Well it turns out that the assailant was just a nobody a periphery figure trying to make a name for himself. Not a life-long devout Muslim but a petty criminal who didn't amount to much. A sad man who died whilst those of the society that he supposedly despised tried to save him. ISIS will claim the attack was orchestrated by them out of desperation, they are losing ground, funds and 'soldiers' rapidly. They are in the death throes much like the kamikaze pilots of Japan.
