Good Morning Everyone, got a ticking off today on my way into work for doing 'obscene speeds' ...yes sir...thank you sir..'slow down'... yes I will sorry....

They'll be out in force today as the new rule about 1.5x weekly salary fines come into force today and are being trailed on the news.

I wonder how it is worked out? Declared gross income, salary or includes dividends and/or all income.

I was wondering that too. If its just salary, which is should be as its the only thing that's guaranteed, then I think I'm winning ;)

Morning all. No chance of a speeding fine for me today as I'm working from home and have no plans to drive anywhere. Not even to the kitchen. Anyway, it's all gone up a bit since the old days of 30 quid and three points.

Have a good day and a good week, everyone. It's another bank holiday next week. Which is nice.

Humbled...so a nice easy drive in after that...

Anyway, went to the football yesterday saw City lose, they should have won, but the worst of it was that one of the guys I work with is a city fan and he was 6 seats away from me! What are the chances? He threatened to 'out' me...(as a United Fan, before you start!) but he was gutted at the end of it. It was funny to hear city fans argue amongst themselves and a 65+yo man getting chucked out for being 'disruptive' ! They never learn...

You were lucky mate as a new speeding law/s is in force today and it could carry up to 1.5 times your weekly salary in fines. Did they not have a radar trap?

I'm sure some lucky soul will find out soon enough. So any benefit cheats & people off grid will be OK then. Another stealth tax.

Another reason to have a Maser with a n/a V8 as the sound is half the experience. Don't need to drive fast to enjoy the symphony of that V8.

Morning all. Struggled to get out of bed this morning and have only just made it to my desk!
The only problem is I have a mountain of work to get through. Better crack on I guess.

They've not changed for that level of speeding. You need to try harder to get under the new changes - 91+ in the 60 :)

There is still an upper limit of £1000 or £2500 if you're on a motorway.

We followed the Custard Cream Racing Machine util just before we got out of the 30 limit and then banked east and towards Gatwick. I'm not sure how many of you use a satnav, but the TomTom is pretty good at letting you know where speed cameras are, including average speed zones through which it shows your average speed. It's no substitute for keeping an eye on things, but the warning ping can be a helpful reminder in case you slip over the limit.

Went over to Snodland (didn't believe a place with a name so silly actually existed until I saw it) yesterday to collect a lovely MX-5 in Mariner Blue. Drove it back the 100 odd miles and the car drives better than the concourse 40k miler I have!

A good detail, wheel refurb and MOT and she will be good for sale.

I wish I could keep her but you can't keep them all!

Is that some curling tongs I see on the shelf behind the seats......... ;)

It was only a matter of time :D

I did have a laugh with my mate who was in convoy and the best I cam up with was that it needs a sticker stating "No Hydrogen Peroxide to be left in this vehicle overnight"

or the classic
