PMSL, the best roads in the World and he takes a diesel Merc! :D Sacrilege!

I'm so glad we did take the ML as the amount of water on the roads I would have had a fit in the Maser.
One road the water was almost a foot deep. And there was no way of turning round.

In my defence, the real reason was because Alex has mis-aligned hips (called SID or something, Dr Nic is an expert on that one) and with her being pregnant is causing her really bad back pain, so the Maser's suspension was just too hard for her.

Morning all. Struggled to get up this morning, although feel a bit livelier than yesterday.

Office bound, with lots to crack on with.

Have a good one all.

PS. Anyone know what that bright yellow thing is in the sky. I think it might be the sun, but am not sure as I haven't seen it for a while.

Yep confirmed you are a weirdo! Never trust a man who doesn't drink beer or coffee!

Never trust a man who doesn't drink coffee? Bit effeminate isn't it. I thought real men drank tea. Tea so strong you could stand your spoon up in it!

My nan once told me never to trust a man who doesn't drink alcohol or doesn't wear a belt.
Make of that what you will.

Belated greetings.

Just given notice on my current role after being head hunted by the Director in Wales.

So no more daft commute to London from Bristol and more time at home instead of Hotels or the London flat.

So if anyone wants a tiny apartment in St Catherines Docks in London there is one in Teal Court going spare now.

Fortunately the new role will pay my travel and tolls, but my rental cars will be from the sticks so less chance of a nice upgrade or the chance to lust after Hanna in the Hammersmith brance of Enterprise.

Well onward and upwards and I will wave to Andy as we pass on the M4.

It's a car I've always wanted; I had a Vauxhall Droopsnoot SportsHatch many years ago because I couldn't stretch to a HS Chevette, but now I can it's difficult to find a decent one. This one came up with 52,800 miles verified mileage so I bought it. It's great around the bends but a little bit wheezy as its only got a pair of unbalanced Stromberg 135s. Fortunately, I've got a balanced pair of twin side draught Delortos with manifold so I'll be banging those on when I get back from Spain. I'll also be giving it a full respray and new graphics next year to take it back to original spec. The interior is lovely and in great condition. I reckon this will be a keeper!

Peter, congratulations on the new job.

No, Mark. It was my yellow trousers on the washing line and a gust of wind took them in the air.

Morning all.
Well Done Peter and Benny two different challenges.
The Chevette had a different engine to your Open one Matt it had the old slanty Bedford Van one that also went into Lotus and Jensen Healey.

That's what I thought Phil, but not quite; the HS Chevette has a 2.3 iron block whereas the Lotus and Jensen Healey had an alloy block 2 litre which was later upped into a 2.2. Initially the HS had Lotus heads but because of FIA regs Vauxhall had to make their own which, strangely, are almost identical to the old Lotus ones. So close they are interchangeable. The HS doesn't Rev as high as the Lotus but has very similar performance. I hope to take mine up from 140bhp to about 180-190 which should, with short gearing, make it fly.

Morning everyone!
This hotel is just odd. It seems as though they've forgotten to have staff or admitting for their guests. I haven't been able to get an iron, there are no cups in the room for water by the bed overnight, no hotel information anywhere to be found. But, it's by a stunning lake. Oh well, hopefully it'll pick up with meetings.
HapPea Wednesday!

Morning,

Late this morning, must be catching up on sleep after the hols. Not so keen on this British changeable weather. First decision of the day is Spider top up or down?

Have a great day everyone

Morning all, getting excited for Friday! Alex's bike broke down again on his way home we have confirmed it is not charging at all, killed a brand new battery! I found the water leak yesterday and boy was it a biggy!!! It has been going for a year and a half and explains why the whole car park is subsiding at the site! It is a split 1" plastic pipe and it has an old hemp paper repair around it!!! So the contractors that built the site in the 90's did it! Back this morning to repair it and back fill the hole (about 3 tonnes).

Have fun all...

Morning all, school run, spin and then some work. Off to see Jason Manford tonight at the local corn exchange should be a giggle.
