Adam; just shout loudly and confidently, worked for the empire all those years!

Frankly, Newton, I was astounded that it’s not still ours. What what.

Anyway, I’ve been allowed to board and if I meet any resistance with a smooth entry I’ll take Sparts’ usual advice and try to sneak furtively in through the back door.

And if that doesn’t work I’ll try stupidity. Should be able to pull that one off easily enough. I can always use Dorothy's approach of simply forgetting who I am.

Morning, all. On my way to India. Possibly. Imagine my surprise at the airport when I learned that you don't buy a visa on the way in through Indian immigration, but need to apply online in good time before you leave. One form hastily completed at the check-in desk, off to the ticket counter to have it printed back to the check-in desk to have it thoroughly checked and boarding pass issued. I'm interested to see whether I'll be allowed into Delhi. It may be a long night. Anyone here with any experience of what happens trying to illegally enter India..? Prison / asylum centres ok, or..?

PS, Sparts - buy mine.

Krishna is over there at the moment, I am sure you will probably step over him at some point outside a bar.

I'LL be amazed if they let you in, you normally need the visa in your passport, however with the new electronic system you may be ok, Indian bureaucracy is legend... We were in the que waiting to check in in Manchester years ago, about 12 of us, my mate says to another mate, cant believe you left it so late to get your visa, bloke and women in front of them turnaround, what visa?? Many tears later and threats of an invasion and they still didn't get on the flight.....

Morning everyone

Have been running around a bit lately, and tonight am on a plane to Sydney (22hrs via Singapore)... :traveller::bigcry3:

I definitely have reached the point where long distance travel (for work) sounds way more glamorous and exciting than it really is..

Hope you all have a good few days.

Morning,

After about 4 hrs sleep due to flight delays I'm up and ready to head into the office. Well up and hopefully more coffee will make me ready.

It would have been a fun drive back from the airport except for two motorway closures that had me detouring through who knows where and adding to the delay.

Oh well. Rome was fun.

Have a great day all

Morning all. Having IT problems again. Bloody updates are getting on my nerves!

When I have 57 things to do, sorting out my Mac isn't one I wanted to add to the list!

Since I went Mac about 4 years ago, I've had minimal problems. Phone, iPad and Mac all work together seamlessly.

Mac issues OR is it the weekly MS Office updates? I had them this morning. First an update to the auto-updater. Then updates to each of the programmes. Tuesday is MS patch day.

Today was Adobe updates. Slowed my Mac to a crawl. May well have been MS Office in the background as well.
