Back in Cardiff...roads at 6:00 were lovely and quiet.

Travelled 45 miles to get here and some in the local area have decided not to bother... so weak!

Kids both off school for a second day, its put another dump down overnight and currently snowing.
Not going anywhere today!
Made it fortunately to our lads outpatient appointment yesterday through the snow, and such a relief all good since his ecoli poisoning/kidney failure in the summer, but will want yearly checkups for life.

Morning all
Windy today and a little more snow overnight.
Drove to the pub last night and home again, no real drama
Why are schools closed?

Snow coming down hard now so looks like we are getting out share now...Just changed from amber to red warning for our area....Best try and move my meeting with the accountant to now instead of 3.

My day has been completely made by arriving at Leicester hospital and parking next to a Reliant Robin. I then saw Gandalf and his wife in bike leathers and having bad hair days arrive to drive off in it.

Morning, all. Dubai airport, lounge, knackered, belly in revolt, lots of work to do, upgraded. I have a suspicion that work may get downgraded today.

But, out and about in town last night, I saw a Huracan and an Aventador, both in the same shade of very excellent blue, having a bit of a blat with a McLaren 570 or 540. I hate to say it, but the Brit looked and sounded completely outclassed. Yes, I know the Italians cost a pile more, but the Macca, which was in some kind of grey (storm grey, I think) just wasn't holding it's own in the style stakes. Still, Dubai operates on a different scale of bling and showy, so put them all on a twisty A-road through British countryside and the Lambos could just look a bit naff. But they'd still sound bloody good.

Morning all......Well the news is overkill again...For over a week we have been told this snow is coming and it will be red/amber warnings so don't go out unless really necessary or if you do go prepared in case you get stuck......People complaining they are stuck, no food, not seen a Policeman .... That's because they are fecking stuck to.......BBC and ITV news correspondence stuck in snow....feck me you were the ones telling us to stay in.......News readers outside reporting .... We don't need to see you outside we know it's fecking snowing.....I really struggle with the news media these days you may have figured.

Morning forum. So not much snow with you this morning, then Andy?

No more overnight here either. Oh well. 0630 call with Oz then an hour's training *ouch* THen breakfast and a joyful day of WFH.

Yep we had lots yesterday C....Expecting more today......boys loving it although didn't go out in it yesterday as it was driving snow and bloody freezing all day....The overkill in the news I was referring to was hours and hours of pictures and reporters standing in snow.....Don't need to see a reporter in snow we know it's snowing....

Morning all, a bit more snow arrived in Dublin overnight but not the 30cms they have been predicting. Dublin airport closed so won't be flying home today. At least I have a seat of a flight tomorrow as long as they get the airport open again

Morning.
No fresh snow, all the snow on the bushes/trees has been blown off.
High school closed for the third day, but the J&I school open, lad not happy with his sister staying at home!
Sledging yesterday not possible, the snow was too deep and light!
The Mrs at home again today for the third day, all appointments cancelled, no way is travelling over to Manchester possible at the moment.
