Long Weekend down here in NZ as its the Queens Birthday.
I'm in for some light duties as from Wednesday but still can't drive for another month.

Good morning everyone, funny how the commonwealth 'celebrate' the Queen's Birthday by having a Bank Holiday but us British don't. Some of us don't even know when she was born...

Morning,

Woken up at 4:30 by the mosquito bites from yesterday evening. Killed most of the little buggers but the bites still itch. Had to call the AA for the Spider last night as it turned over but wouldn't start. Left it for an hour and away it went, just as the recovery chap was arriving, so avoided another low loader picture.

Today was supposed to be rainy, but appears to be sunny. Tomorrow was supposed to be sunny, but is now going to be rainy. I think I'll stop looking at the forecast and just look out of the window. It, and the boot, are going to make getting the car ready for Sunday fun.

Not sure what the day is going to hold today. Might try and walk as far as the Deli at the end of the road, or the Pub, at lunchtime.

Supposed to collect my car to clean for tomo later, but it’s drizzly, so maybe not much cleaning will be done...The wife is looking at a cottage later, beginning to fear for my pikey lifestyle....

The rain has finally made it here which is going to make cleaning the car for tomorrow interesting. One of the mouse hunters has failed to turn up for her food for a couple of days so is either trapped in somewhere or worse. Should have bought the GPS tracker!

Still frustrated by the boot, but should at least get to see people tomorrow at Newby.

I'm sure you'll survive Dave...
