Morning all. After a tumultious day yesterday, I need to look at cars to buy that normally I wouldn't consider.
The thing that concerns me is that there is too much to choose from.

Mileage not important, as it'll be a short term purchase, as long as it starts, stops, and can do 500 miles in a day in comfort for less than 4 grand.
Slightly above bangernomics but not much.

Oh and have to do some work as well.

Time for another thread, 500 is a lot in a day had to do it many many times myself for work, but avoid now. Last week it was cheaper to fly return to Glasgow from Manchester, which I did instead.

Going to sorn the Strad now, mothball her till Spring. Best get her MOT'd first.

The tax on the Vantage is up at the end of this month and I'm in two minds about whether to renew. In all likelihood I won't sorn until end Oct - the prospect of an Indian summer is too tempting to see that car not being used!

How many miles do you put on her in a year, Matt?

Newton on holiday... just an extraordinary notion. Newton, I hope you're going somewhere that needs repairing. You'll go out of your mind otherwise. No powertool / netting combos, though!

We are off to Gretna early tomorrow in the Mas for another two brides wedding! Had to book the house for the whole week so going to make the most of it, looks like the house in Father Ted so I’m sure I’ll find something to fix! It is Jeanette’s first time in Scotland (yes I know it is only just but it counts) and we will be blasting around the lakes a bit too... it is an opportunity for her to get some miles in the car ahead of Monaco.

Can I go back to moaning about my back now?

Morning,

Given I'm not working today I've no idea why I'm up at this time. Habit and active mind I think. Haircut this morning and test driving SUVs this afternoon. Still not sure about the latter but having got snowed in more than once last winter perhaps something with AWD makes sense.

Morning all, got up at 5 to do some reports, 2 hours sitting at my desk and my back is hurting more than yesterday, purely muscular I’m sure. Got to pack and get the FS loaded shortly as we are heading to Scotland for a wedding. Up M11, A14, A1 and if the weather is good, a picnic at Fountains Abbey before taking the A66 across to Gretna Geeen (forgot the Green bit yesterday as was pointed out).

Delicious.
Got a Wedding tomorrow and I'm driving a series 1 Daimler XJ6 4.2.
