Hmm… sounds familiar Andy, we are still on a generator with a broken supply. Half way through my meeting in London last evening, my phone (on silent) lit up with calls from Jeanette as the power company had called to say they would be attending to complete investigations on the cable at 19.00 and would be digging up my driveway! Eventually I gave up on the meeting and drove a mercy dash home, I arrived 2-minutes ahead of the team leader to fined three band, a 5t excavator and a bunch of Eastern Europeans standing looking at the driveway not wanting to scratch it. They absolutely don’t want to cut through the resin bound (rightly so) and I agreed that the granite sets could be taken up around it ok but they were not convinced. The problem being that they have to dig a metre away from the live mains under the pavement and then follow the dead cable to the fault once they establish the fault point. So I ended up taking a metre square of the sets up myself for them! As we were getting underway, there was an explosion at the top of the road where builders had installed a new fence and it seems they had damaged a cable (curious that that may well be our fault) anyway they all shot off to deal with that as it was actively blowing up every few minutes and making a large hole! So we now still have a generator and now a hole in the drive too. It is progress I suppose. I then drove to J28 of the M1 for my overnight.
Morning all, up to Tyneside for a couple of days to the factory to sort some new gym products.
Have fun all…
