Morning all, Happy Birthday Mrs F. I promise not to wind the pedants up more than usual today. Off to Westminster again but not driving after an evening in A&E last with a painful eye. On Monday, the lad was using the angle grinder to radius a hinge is welded when a hot bit caught me! Welded itself to the cornea, by yesterday it was rusting and very aggravated. Dr that pulled it out was amazing.

Have fun all…

Good morning everyone, happy birthday Mme F, eye protection is wonderful Newton. Back to work for me today. Oh the emails will be piled high, CTRL-A, Del...ask someone what happened whilst I was away. Brew and feet on desk.

Oooh, ouch. You have my sympathies, Newton. I had a similar thing once. The doctor clamped my head still and my eye open and went in for the extraction. It was less pleasant than getting the shard of metal stuck in there in the first place. I looked pretty piratical in the eye patch afterwards.

Morning, all. Less than half the week to go. Good.

Morning all...it's the Last Evening Meeting of the Year Day!!! Happy birthday to Mrs. French from Leftpondia...we all send our regards. Budget and HR stuff all day...at least it's still miserably cold!

Good morning all. Trip down to Taunton to meet my boss for my yearly appraisal. Meet it a hotel a cup of coffee and a bit of chat more like. Just how I like my appraisals.

Good morning everyone.
Today will be spent getting paint for the upstairs of the house as the plasterer finished yesterday.
Also trying to find where DHL have taken the complete exhaust system for my Opel Manta too as they left a card saying no one was home what Muppets they are.
Still it's Friday Catman is better and off to see Madness.
Take Care all.

Nothing has changed with the standards, just the latest thing with the no win no fee ambulance chasers, been several significant payouts recently for severed digits!

Andy asks the tough questions. Actually beat me to the same query. So...you're just removing the razor blades from the latches, then, Newton?

Great news on the house, Phil. But surprised at DHL...they always do a great job getting stuff from Eurospares to my door. Andy K, hope you're well appraised. Everyone else, avoid the Madness.

I have made it through my last evening meeting of the calendar year, but somehow still have 8 meetings on my calendar between 8a and 4p...plus I got zero done on budgets and HR. So...

Crushes to the hinge and slam posts mostly, failed self-closing mechanisms if indeed they are even fitted. No slam plate or pad and a myriad of other issues, mostly involving me using an angle grinder and welder!

Dodged a bullet this afternoon though, got the welder out after having prepped a gate for hinges and it wouldn’t fire! Something had dropped on it in the back of the van and had smashed the spark plug cap! Poop! Time to be creative but actually by pure luck there was a motorcycle repair shop just 50 yards away. 2 mins and £6 later I’m up and running again :)
