Hello everyone!
Resurfacing to wish MLC happy birthday, and because a significant source of stress has been put to rest....
I'm delighted that yesterday we finally exchanged on selling Skye's house here in Southampton and on the purchase of a gorgeous place in Poole. We move next Friday. It's been quite the saga with some very difficult vendors whose estate agent tells us they're his most difficult client in 23 years! I know that many of you have experienced the English conveyancing madness and I feel for you.
Skye and I both saw this place come on the market a year ago, get sold STC and then return to the market, but we weren't in a position to offer until September when my place in Oxford had sold and we finally had an offer on Skye's place. It's the only house we've both liked in all that time and, when we saw it we both fell for it completely. We totally believe that God kept it for us, in a market that should snap up a place like this.
In other news, I really hope I can shake off this vile cold soon.
HapPea Saturday! xXx

Morning all

Flew out to Tenerife on Thursday but immediately struck down with heavy cold or I guess even Covid. Holed up on the balcony the past two days, but there are worse places to be ill.

Morning all, yesterdays half day turned into almost a full day as somebody unplugged us and 300 other local residents from the grid so that some farmer could get a new feed into his farm all with 3 hours notice !!.

At least it gave me sometime to take down the outside Christmas lights, it will be inside decorations this morning and then the chain saw in the house to chop up the tree prior to removal

Happy Birthday Martin

Happy birthday, Crisis. I hope you get lots of lovely presents.

Newton, happy hunting, fella. May your pies runneth over.

Today I shall mostly be flying and airporting en route to Vegas, via a day in LA to get some Pacific beach and a beer in the sun. That's the plan, anyway.

The Parkstone Poole Pea Palace? Sounds like a public pisser with pretensions.

Errr...yeah. So, slow getting to the old glowing box today, though we have been up for a bit. Started the morning off as well as one can, methinks. Happy birthday to Martin, and well done to the Peas! Not much on the docket besides meal prep for the week and some woodworking...which is good, because the weather is Not Nice.

Morning all, still stunned by my old hound choosing to join us yesterday, not only to come along for the ride but actively participating in the whole morning! He is very stiff today but the tail is still wagging. At 11 1/2 I really had accepted he had retired himself; every morning this season he has belligerently stuck to his bed and refused to go. Yesterday he was waiting at the door!

Nothing much planned for today.

Have fun all…

Morning, all...warmer here than it has been for a few days, and the sky is clear. For about 36 hours. Woodworking on the docket, still and always and likely for the rest of my life. Gonna smoke a pork butt so I don't have to tend to anything. Kiddos return to school tomorrow...
