Matt, hope you are having fun...Aren't you seeing some live music with you good lady.....?

I certainly did!

What a fantastic night. The rain was hammering it down and thunder and lightening but it just added to the electric atmosphere.

I know Duran Duran will not be everyone's cup of tea but you have to hand it to them, it's probably the best sound production of any gig I have seen. Planet Earth morphed into Space Odesey with the screens showing Ziggy, the crowd went wild. Also GMF's White Lines plus all the usual favourites, playing out with Save a Prayer then Rio as finally.

It was an epic gig in the evocative venue that is Verona Coleseum Arena.

Just rolling with the punches now; what more can I do?

Just hoping the Aygo doesn't go pop just yet.

Newton..sorry to hear bad news from you again. I believe you had enough. Please take some time to relax and see things in a positive perspective. This will help you.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all, as if I needed it, driving home in the 156 last evening in the middle of a cloud burst a clown in a Passat slipped his foot of the clutch and thumped it in the back. Hard enough the boot won't shut! Spare wheel well is knocked in about 3"!

I cannot face a third insurance claim in a month so I'll be taking it to a mate of his to get it pulled out. Not fussed about the cosmetic side of it it just needs to work. Jeanette should be getting her new Mito tomorrow if we are lucky.

Have fun all...

You aren't having much luck!
I may be telling you how to suck eggs, but we come across this type of thing a fair bit work wise.
Its understandable why you cant be asked with insurers currently, but be careful following the line of least resistance, unless you are satisfied his mate will do a sterling job, to your satisfaction, in quick time.
You would have more comeback by going via HIS insurance company, so no additional claim against your policy. Shouldn't take too much longer as its in their interests to keep your costs down.
Also his insurers should be able to put a hire car on your drive quite quickly or reimburse you for your hire costs (of a similar type of car) until yours is fixed.
In any event hope you get it back soon.

No worries Craig, I had a knock in the van back in 2013 and even though I was totally blameless and the 3rd parties insurance handled the whole thing and stated I only need to inform insurers of the incident I have been getting at least a £200 loading on every policy for it, the 156 isn't worth much and if it went through the insurance it would be a write off, that would be three in a month so they will hang me out to dry already! If it isn't repaired to my satisfaction I'll put my own slide hammer to use and sort it. It is just a work horse anyway. I've spent far more than its value on it in the last month so I'd be loathed to part with it.

Speaking of aging rockers, I'm off to see AC/DC (and Axl) in Manchester tonight. Frighteningly, it's 36 years since I first saw them!

Did they offer your mouth key back as Axle was with them. Lots didn't want to go. Think it's a bit weird but the reviews have been very good. Make sure you let me know what you thought. This is their last tour isn't it.
