Not just any records but date-of-birth, NI numbers and Licence numbers - enough for any identity theft. We may as well publish our details on the Net and be done with it.

I haven't seen the story mentioned anywhere else, I'm hoping the Guardian has been duped and the whole thing is made up.

I read in this months Saga mag (sorry about that) that all insurance companies will want your driving licence number before they'll quote!

So no more bullsh@ting about having no convictions ect

Will have to pull out the duplicate license then!!! Or use my French one, or International one

I think Northen Ireland is exempt for some reason,I cant think why!

It must be a Northern Ireland born Minister who thought this one up then..?? I will have to get on the Births & Deaths site and see if I can find a good clone for a new licence..!!
