The ideal number plate for a Turbo Maserati

Hi all,

I have recently acquired a private plate as part of a deal on another car. I have never really been into plates and have nothing this would suit, however it's a nice looking plate that would suit any turbo car.

The plate is TUR60 3W. It's a 1981 plate so can go on anything newer, the original plate would have read TUR 603W I have plates made up with the slight spacing change and it reads really well without having to add and silly black screws etc...

As I said I am very new to selling plates, this is on retention in my name, I asked one of the big websites for a valuation (newreg.com) they said they would sell and should be able to return me £2000. However this would obviously require time and is in no way guaranteed.

I am open to offers over £1100 please feel free to message me or E-mail

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony

Long time. Rather assumed you'd moved on!

Coming to wine tasting next weekend?

Hi
Never move on from good cars!! Sold the 4200 but am now thinking of another maybe start of next year, we are going to buy something sporty and 4 seat so it's a toss up between the sensible 911 choice or the not so sensible 4200 or maybe a GRandtourismo.
I decided to stop drinking in Feb so I will be missing the tastings I had a few minor health issues which all boiled down to many years of excess! So had to make some big changes.

I have some sensible cars at the moment, couple of landrovers for all the snow I was expecting this winter along with a old V8 Jag for my commute And a MGB GT which is currently being restored then we are using the Elise and a new Fiesta ST as our sensible family cars!! So not much room, I need to get my finger out and have a good clear out to make room for something Italian.

I was not 100% on value as I said it was valued at £2000 which I felt was a tad optimistic the guy I spoke to justified this as one had recently sold TUR80 -- (can't remember the last two) for £22000 but obviously the 8 would be far more desirable than the 6.
Looks good on a car, it came with an MGB and was made up on old style silver on black plates, looked great but clearly didn't suit the car! I have just purchased a 9 month old Fiesta ST, so if it doesn't sell I will probably put it on this, I can see it appealing to the ST market
