From memory pistons and rings worker out £172 or just rings which weren't available during covid £158 so it made it a no brainer , with the discount just over £1200'fraid that name reminds me a tad of this forgotten piece of Russian car history: the Lada Samara Carlotta
The girl you knew and my car (not the red thing above) do seem to share a certain share of character
Latest I've heard was that AS Motorsport and/or Hurricane Motorsport (who's rebuilding the engine) had found the right rings, they made it a matter of principle to find the right ones.
I'll ask for some more info when I'm there in about 2 weeks
Someone I know makes the world's best limoncello cake (no wonder my weight isn't coming off!)I love limoncello!
I'll send you my address, if that would help?Someone I know makes the world's best limoncello cake (no wonder my weight isn't coming off!)
Here to help if I can...though it might be easier to just buy another whole car for parts. Which has crossed my mind more often than I'd like to admit.I'll send you my address, if that would help?
Btw, next up is finding a windshield.
This might be the world's best GS Spyder in existence once (if?) it ever gets back on the road...
Good luck - at least you may have more choice on the other side of the ChannelBtw, next up is finding a windshield.
Frankly, I must've said the exact same thing at least 5 times to Adnan already. The way parts are either unavailable or very expensive, this is starting to look more and more 'sensible' yet sacrilege at the same time. And that's where the inspiration came from...Here to help if I can...though it might be easier to just buy another whole car for parts. Which has crossed my mind more often than I'd like to admit.
Dear God is that about 3 years you have been shelling out for the car? I trueley shudder to think what this has cost you not only cash wise but relationshipBit of an update: car and engine are back at A.S. Motorsport, and Adnan and the team will take it further from here.
Where's here? Well have a look below...
Engine is being assembled (ASM team already installed a.o. the new oil/water pump), with the oil cooler to be repaired before that one goes back on as well.
For the eagle-eyed amongst you, you might spot the car in some of the pictures too

Correct, first owner was a LA lawyer, and it got over here via Canada and Germany.Looks lovely and clean! No doubt Adnan’s team are doing a great job.
I see your car has side markers, is it a US car?
That's good news. She runs! The engine is in the car and running.
Some initial issues were rapidly solve by Adnan and his team.
(I have a movie but can't upload it seems)
